Tollesbury is on the North shore of the River Blackwater, some 8 miles East of the historic town of Maldon. The Cruising Club is situated within Tollesbury Marina on the Western edge of the Marina basin.
From the A12 London - Colchester road
From the A12 leave at the Hatfield Peverel
exit and follows the signs to Maldon (B1019). At the first
roundabout follow the sign to Heybridge. Cross the next mini
roundabout into Heybridge Street. At the following mini roundabout
follow the sign for Tolleshunt D’Arcy (B1026). After approximately 7
miles turn right at the sign for Tollesbury (B1023). Follow the main
road into Tollesbury and turn left at the road signposted
'Waterfront'. Follow the road down past the white sail lofts, near
to the Quay and continue on along following the side of the creek.
The entrance to Tollesbury Marina is then immediately on your right
hand side.
After entering the marina bear right and follow the narrow road
around the marina basin also to your right (past the marina office
and chandlery). You will see the club house
to your left. Turn right into the car park before the club house
itself.
Note: The entrance road to the marina is impassable
at high water on a spring tide. There is a rear road entrance from
Woodrolfe Road for use on these occasions.
