Regrettably Covid has resulted in the cancellation of the majority of our planned programme for 2020 but we are hoping to organize a Late Season East Coast Cruise albeit much amended from our original proposals published at the start of the year.
We have abandoned Lowestoft and Southwold as we understand Southwold Harbour are only accepting boats with holding tanks as the onshore facilities remain closed due to the virus. Instead we hope to go to Shotley, Walton, Harwich, Woodbridge, Ramsholt and Levington.
Currently nothing is booked and the above are only proposals at the moment but I will attempt to book ahead once I have an idea of the interest from members.
The Bank Holiday starts with neap tides which may not make 6ft. on the sill. Friday evening the sill poses no problems.
The provisional proposals are :-
Saturday. Shotley.
Sunday. Titchmarsh. With dinner at Walton & Frinton Y.C. (If it can be arranged).
Monday. Halfpenny Pier (Settled weather) Levington (If not)
Tuesday. Woodbridge. H.W. 12.54.
Weds. Woodbridge.
Thurs. Leave H.W. to Ramsholt.
Fri. H.W. Felixstowe 13.44. Return down to Orwell.
Sat.or Sun. Depending on weather. Return to Tollesbury.

Because the cruise coincides with Bank Holiday, I would appreciate a response a.s.a.p. as most marinas will be busy and may not accept last minute bookings.
Regards
Rob.

Yes please Rob, count us in for any bookings. Unfortunate about Southwold but we’ll have to make do with the Deben!

Latest update.
Shotley is booked for the three boats currently signed up. Doubtful whether we will be on the linear G pontoon unless we can get more boats to join us.
Titchmarsh ditto. High Water approx. 10.00 am.
Walton and Frinton Y.C. Booked for SUNDAY LUNCH. at 13.00. Provisionally 7-9 people.
I will contact Tidemill Woodbridge next week, by which time I am hoping there will be more interest in this trip from membership.
Regards
Rob.

Hi Rob and all,
Good Rum and crew hope to attend some parts of the cruise. We are being lifted out the week before, so we will do our best to be ready. We will make our own arrangements regarding berths and food bookings, hope to see you all soon. Mandy & Tony xx

Hi Rob
Thanks for organising this. Wave Dancer will need to return to Tollesbury on the Monday but we would like to join you at Shotley and Tichmarsh. 2 for lunch at W&F if that is possible.

Thank you for organising this. Petrah will be able to join you. There will be one other crew member, making two for any table bookings.

Hello All.
Shotley, Titchmarsh, W&F YC, and Tidemill Woodbridge all booked.
All we need now is some decent weather and it should be a nice little break. Fingers crossed.
Jean & Rob.
