Hi All.
We would like to second Peter's comments. The Christmas Cruise was a lovely way to finish the season. What could be better than The Green Man by the fire with our sailing friends? Thank you David and Jose and also to Mandy for all her hard work throughout the year. Roll on next season.
Hope you all have a very special Christmas.
Love
Jean & Rob. (Polo).

Yes, what Peter and Rob say. One more excellent TCC event. Can't wait for next season. And here are the results of the Frostbite Race.

Thanks Peter, so pleased that you all enjoyed the weekend.

It was indeed a fitting end to a great season. No fewer than 9 boats turned out - making it one of our most popular events. Thanks to Polo, Enigma, Starfire, Dipper, Mimosa, Scallywag, Amalie, Dionysus and Wave Dancer for taking part.

Five boats completed the race from the Nass round Radio Caroline and back to Bradwell. Radio Caroline makes an interesting race mark! Polo was first to the finishing line and the overall winner. There was a close tussle for 2nd place with Mimosa just ahead of Wave Dancer at the finish.

Once in Bradwell we gathered on the hammerhead for a Christmas pontoon party. Christmas hats were duly worn and some of the boats were dressed with Christmas lights. We then repaired to the Green Man to warm up by the log fire. After an excellent meal there was the traditional awarding of puddings - Ian Coward (Best hat), Peter Ferguson (Best Christmas lights) and Robin Kemp (race winner). It was also nice to be able to award Evie Ferguson her prize from the Teapot Trophy.

So that really is the end of our 2018 season. Thanks to everyone who has taken part in any of our events - I had a great time and I hope you did too.

Happy Christmas

David

PS - the Committee is already working on the 2019 programme - anyone fancy Heybridge for Easter?

Hi
Heybridge sounds good and thanks to everyone on the committee for their work towards a great year's sailing and company. Very flexible start line for the frostbite this year and great fun, particularly Wave Dancer stepping into the breach with their pseudo hooter. Cheers! Brian
