Blackwater Weekend 10/11 August

Post by davidprentis » July 29th, 2019, 9:56 pm

HW Saturday 0826
HW Sunday 0944/2215

The plan is to stay local this weekend. I considered West Mersea but note that Mersea Week starts on Sunday 11 so moorings may be hard to come by.

Wave Dancer will be looking to return on the Sunday morning tide. So Bradwell would be a good bet for Saturday evening. Perhaps with a visit to the Green Man?

If the weather suits we could anchor at Stone Point or Pyefleet for lunch.

Hi David.
Please include Polo. Perfect for easing Jean's shoulder back into sailing mode.

Hi David
just to let you know I've been sailing locally quite a bit lately so I'm looking to take a trip to the Royal Harwich. However, although it's too far ahead to be exact, the weather doesn't look too encouraging so maybe it'll be the Blackwater again or stay in the marina; either way I'll let you know.

Hi David and Brian,
I have just watched this weekend's weather forecast and the met office are still issuing a yellow weather warning for high winds with 45 mph gusts.
Just to give you fair notice, Polo will not be venturing out of the marina on Saturday so please do not include us in any bookings.
Shame as we were looking forward to it.
Jean & Rob.

Hi Robin
Yes just watched forecast. It hasn't improved. Will keep checking but not much chance I think.
Best

Rob, Jean and Brian

In view of the forecast we will not be sailing this weekend.

Hope to see you all soon.
