Kings Head Cup 29 September 2018

Post by davidprentis » September 5th, 2018, 8:31 pm

Tollesbury Sailing Club have informed us that the Kings Head Cup race will now be held on 29 September (HW1536).

This is traditionally a race between members of TSC and TCC around Osea Island. This year, as the tide is not particularly high, we understand that the race may be up to the island and back, staying in the deeper water.

Mandy has kindly agreed to book berths at Bradwell and a club meal at the Green Man for Saturday evening. As ever, anyone who wants to join us in Bradwell without doing the race will be very welcome.

Please indicate if you will be racing/cuising/dining by posting on this forum or by contacting me or any Committee member.

The Steve Rix race, which was to have been run on 30 September, will now be on 14 October.

PS Wave Dancer is planning to take part with 2 on board

I think the Green Man is the perfect venue for a wedding anniversary... and what better way to get there than via Osea Island in the warm Autumn sunshine?? Ha ha

Wave Dancer will be taking part in the event. Not sure how many on board yet.

I would like to join you on this trip to or around Osea island. As I will be coming from Woodbridge at the end of next week, I hope to join you from outside of the marina - provided I ever get back from Woodbridge where the winds are fair howling around us at present, and I see that 50 knots are forecast briefly in this area on Sunday coming. There will be just two of us for booking in for supper on Saturday 29th.

Starfire will be attacking the course as a non combative observer as I think it will be just one onboard and therefore one for dinner.
Good luck all.
